Raleigh
dog training club has a very informal friendly atmosphere towards the
training classes. Come along if you are having a specific problem, you
wish to compete in competitive obedience or you just want to have fun
with your dog.
There is currently a Waiting list for the
graduate, beginners and mixed ability classes at
all locations. Please still ring if you are interested in
training your dog and we will contact you
when a space becomes available
thank you
Mollie runs four different levels of classes.
The graduate
class is for dogs that have completed the puppy course and wish to
further their training and continue with socialising their dogs.
The beginners
class focuses on four main excercises that are important in obedience
and general day to day life with your dogs. These include the COME WHEN
CALLED (RECALL), RETRIEVE (FOR FUN), WALKING ON A LOOSE LEAD WITHOUT
PULLING (HEELWORK) and STAY. Each excercise is varied and incorporated
into different scenarios and sometimes games during the class. Also
work on common problems such as JUMPING UP.
The
intermediate and advanced class includes more obedience excercises such
as scent work, away, a-recal, distance control and positions on the
move ASSD (Assisted stand, sit, down). These excercises are all great
fun if you do not wish to partake in competitive obedience.
The most favourite the send away! Fun and important in teaching your dogs to stop/down when they are running away from you
In these classes you will be encouraged to clicker train.
The club is
able to purchase Leads, collars, toys, CLICKERS, clicker book, biscuit
buddies(treat bag for treats, clicker and poo bag) and treats that are
available to buy. Can supply certain foods at reasonable prices.
Clothing with the Raleigh dog training club logo such as t-shirts and fleeces are available to buy.
